Description:
Telling people about your HIV status (“disclosing”) is up to you. Everyone has different reasons for disclosing, or not disclosing, that they have HIV. In Canada, however, the law says that, in certain circumstances, you must tell your sex partners that you have HIV before you have sex. This is sometimes referred to as a “legal duty to disclose.” This pamphlet will help you understand the law and how it may apply to you. For more information, you can read the longer pamphlet and the one-pager. Both are available in English and Français.
