Overview
This document provides evidence-informed answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding sexual health education for youth with physical disabilities. The goal of this resource is to assist in the creation of supportive and healthy learning environments for youth with physical disabilities and to support the provision of comprehensive sexual health education that is inclusive of their needs. The seven questions and answers address topics such as the sexuality among youth with physical disabilities; the benefits of inclusive sexual health education; barriers to sexual health education for youth with physical disabilities; and other health considerations for youth with physical disabilities. The document provides strategies for supporting the sexual health of youth with physical disabilities; for supporting parents of youth with physical disabilities; and for fostering resilience among youth with physical disabilities.
