Prevention and protection : enhancing both HIV testing and human rights in Canada | Prévenir et protéger : rehausser à la fois le test du VIH et les droits humains au Canada

In this paper, the authors examine widely available and utilized HIV testing services in Canada and human rights concerns. In particular, it examines human rights implications of both “opt-out” or “routine” HIV testing of pregnant women as well as the use of rapid HIV tests. It also recommends increasing access to HIV testing that respects, protects and fulfills human rights.
